"Last July, the Producers of the MythBusters decided to give dedicated fans a chance to be on the show. I have dreamed of being on t he show for years, and as soon as I heard about the contest, I immediately signed up for it! For the last 7 months, many of the members of the MBFC have been 'watching over my shoulder' as I first entered the contest to be on MythBusters, then spent hundreds of hours building and testing my Archimedes Solar Death Ray entries, waited impatiently for word from Discovery, and finally my travel to San Francisco and the four days working with Adam and Jamie and crew shooting the episode. And since all the members of the Fan Club were so excited to hear ALL the details of the story, I quickly got tired of re-typing the same posts, and decided to write the whole thing up in one big file in detail. And now, that 'file' has grown into a book, and the book has FINALLY been published!

I am amazed at how excited I am about the book writing part of this odyssey. I knew from long before I heard of the competition that I would be VERY excited to be on the show, but I never imagined that writing a book about my experiences with Adam and Jamie could be at east as exciting as spending four days working with them as an invited guest, as a fellow 'Myth Buster'! And working with Adam and Jamie was every bit as exciting as I had imagined all these years. And now, through the words and pictures of this first-person narrative, YOU can imagine what it is like to be there with Adam and Jamie too!"
