Yes. Though we cannot tell you that it was the ‘only’ source they used, several of the ideas posted and discussed in the “Show Ideas” section have made it on to the MythBusters’ program. Because of the volume of sources the researchers use for every single myth they test, they can not give credit to a single person who posted it on a message board. 

Our advice, should you want an idea to make it to the show, is to fully research your idea. Include links to data in your post was well as recommend possible testing methodologies. Additionally, expect to be able to support your data. We have community members from varying backgrounds; engineers, medical specialists and even a rocket scientist.
